Women Healthcare Executives (WHE) was organized in 1984 for the purpose of advancing the professional development and growth of women who have chosen healthcare as a profession. Our members are decision-makers in a diverse group of health-related organizations who have come together to promote common interests, learn from each other and provide support. The advantages of membership are numerous and include:
- Activities and events that offer education
opportunities and professional contacts.
- Resume critiquing program and sharing of job
opportunities at WHE meetings.
- Assistance with placing members on the Board of
Directors of community organizations.
- A newsletter containing interesting and
pertinent information.
- A detailed membership directory.
- Current information about the American College
of Healthcare Executives.
- Career Opportunities notification through our
e-mail system.
- Quarterly meetings with interesting guest speakers
and learning opportunities.
There are
two categories of membership: Active and Student
Active Member.
To be eligible for
active membership in WHE, a person shall hold a responsible position in the
health services industry or a
management or administrative position in healthcare, or desire to hold
the same.
Student
Member.
To be eligible for
student membership in WHE a person must be a student actively pursuing a degree
in healthcare administration or shall be a resident or fellow from an
accredited post-graduate program in healthcare.
All memberships are personal and cannot
be transferred within an organization.
Annual membership dues are $75.00 for active members and $40.00 for
students. WHE’s fiscal year is November
1 through October 31.
