Hudson and her family are long-time residents of Sharpsburg. teacher to get transplant A
Whitewater Middle School teacher who has leukemia will receive a life-saving
bone marrow transplant next month in Texas. Marianne
McLelland Hudson, an eighth-grade reading teacher, was diagnosed with acute
lymphocytic leukemia in February. Hudson
will receive bone marrow Sept. 6 from a donor found on the National Bone
Marrow Registry who is considered a perfect match, Whitewater principal

marrow matches have been found for a Whitewater Middle School teacher who
needs a transplant to live. Marianne

A drive
to get Fayette County residents on the National Bone Marrow Registry is today
and Friday in honor of a teacher who needs a life-saving transplant. Marianne
McLelland Hudson, a Whitewater Middle School eighth-grade reading teacher,
likely will die without a bone marrow transplant, according to her sister
Laura McLelland Fuller. Hudson, a wife and mother of daughter Sydney, 2, was
