Marianne McLelland Hudson

Leukemia Drive

Marianne, 33, a life long area resident and well-loved Coweta County young mother, was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2003.  Marianne is now in Houston where she recently underwent a successful bone marrow transplant surgery.  Marianne and her husband Lee have a 3-year old daughter, Sydney. Before her illness, she was a part time reading teacher at White Water Middle School in Fayetteville, GA.

There have been several setbacks and triumphs along the way, but the story of Marianne and her progress has captured the hearts of many.  Insurance has helped tremendously but as a result of her extended care out of town, traveling expense, living supplies, groceries, and associated medical costs have exhausted her family financially.
